Bhutan Wild Premium Cordyceps
Bhutan Cordyceps (Yartsa Goenbub) matures between May to July of the year annually. In the late June of every year the government issues license to the eligible bhutanese farmers during which time they ascend the sacred mountains in the regions of Paro, Wangduephodrang, Gasa, Lhuntse, Trashigang, Trashiyangtse, and Bumthang in search of Cordyceps.
Environmental condition determines the quality of the Cordyceps. Bhutan’s best wild Cordyceps are produced in the high altitudes of Methachutha Sintha, Thangchem, Yango Yakchu of WangduePhodrang Dzongkhag, Khangdang of Bumthang above 3500m and Shingchenla of Laya above 5010m.
